I disagree...as a fan I have the right to show my disinterest in the team and coach. When you sit back and say nothing thats when teams slip into mediocrity. Gopher fans deserve more than they are getting. They play in one of the best conferences in the country and year in and year out they struggle against FCS teams. That should not happen and the fans suffer. Yeah...you need to give the coaches some slack from time to time but when you have 3 or 4 terrible years as a coach you need to go. If I was Brew I would be embarassed to talk the way he does....I think he actually think the Gophers are a decent team.

Thats a big IF. From what I saw, the Coyotes looked very good. They didn't play conservative at all. They moved the ball well, especially in the passing game. Their defense was salty all day. They are a much better football team than most of us on this board give them credit for.

We had better be prepared for this team in two weeks or we are going to end up looking at lot like Minny.

To answer the other question on USD and scholarships, yes, they're fully funded. They got a waiver from the SD Board of Regents regarding Title IX compliance because they need that guarantee money to balance their budget.

USD really needed this win. Their fan base is just blah these days.

To answer the other question on USD and scholarships, yes, they're fully funded. They got a waiver from the SD Board of Regents regarding Title IX compliance because they need that guarantee money to balance their budget.

Although I can't disagree with this assessment, we shouldn't get bent when someone downplays our accomplishments while simultaneously diminishing USD's. We'll be doing well to congratulate them and save our piss and vinegar for two weeks from yesterday.

I wasn't bashing them I have given them props, I should have stated that JMU beating a AP BCS top 25 team was bigger, but the Fact Poly is entering the Big Fluffy and then knocking UM from their perch is epic, they and their fans have to be worried a little they will no longer dominate the Fluffy with Cali schools. Bet your arse they recruit better now that they have a western based conference playing in Cali, AZ, OR, WA, just to name a few

However,

USD was the star of that show. The rest are simply opinion. Give credit when and where credit is due.

The difference could likely come down to the Bison offense versus the Coyote defense. One can never tell in these instances at times. Initially, I would think the Bison would be favored by a touch or so, because I think the Bison D is that good, at present having yielded only 9.5 points per game, and one of them a Big 12 opponent. Should be a game very well attended.
