Which true freshman played Saturday night and which ones still have their redshirt? I have no idea about who wears what number, especially since I could hear any of the broadcast.

Colton Heagle
Don Carter
Grant Olson
Marcus Williams

I hear Billy Turner played a bit as well on special teams, but can't confirm it.

Gebhart has not practiced since last Wednesday. He may practice tomorrow. Shoulder was not healing and so they gave him a week off to let it heal. :banghead:

Not cool, hopefully everything works out well so he can get back ASAP.

BTW, nice meeting you in Lawrence.

You don't really "choose" to redshirt I don't think...you're basically redshirted until you play as far as I know. So since he hasn't played, he would still be redshirted regardless the way I understand it.

As of now. If the shoulder comes around and they need him they can pull the redshirt.

Lots of WR's in the stable. No need for him to blow a year. Geez, work in some of the RFr way before you pull his shirt. Wahlo and Calhoun need some PT before he is pulled.

Siouxfallsbison: he seems like a good kid, we were joking around with him behind the bench trying to get him to give us an over under on TD passes he catches next year.

BTW he went with over 10 - Love the confidence!

I heard Carlton Littlejohn's name called in the second quarter on a special teams tackle. Did anyone else hear this or see him on the field, or was it a mistake by the PA announcer. I hope it was a mistake so he can retain his redshirt.

Turner's a man-child, my wife couldn't believe he is a true freshman. She kept saying that #77 is just crushing his guy.

This team is only going to get better...what a young team of studs!!!

Did Grant Olson make every tackle on the kick off coverage? He impresses me.

Juckem and Tyler Gimmestad (both redshirt freshmen) are currently third team at DT--one of the deepest positions on the team. With Gratzek and Phillips graduating this year, they will both be in line to move up.

Yes, they will both be playing a lot of football next year. I rememer coach saying two years ago we needed to get better on the d-line. We have accomplished that and have a number of players that will be here for years to come.

The future is so bright!!!
