Just heard it on the podcast......

I can never figure out why all these folks talk about Hammer all of the time. Hammer is small market that barely anyone can hear. PA, on the other hand, is big time, is on in Fargo as well, and nearly all of Minnesota. They have had other media access to their shows for a decade. In other words, PA is the ones recruits can listen to.

Point here is ignore small market shows like Hammer, and we need more folks to call into PA's show like Lakes. This will keep us in KFAN's eyes and remind them of the Fargo market and all our alumni. This, eventually, will lead to more coverage as PA loves NDSU.

Now here is the real hard part for me......Lakes, you made me darn proud today. Nice work getting on the show. I had tried in the past and could never get on. We need others to do the same.

Good that you got on the PA show so that NDSU's media partner had some mention of the NDSU-KU game.

I turned on Hammer today and first got to here how spectacular Grand Valley State's facilities are and then got an interview with St. Cloud State's new hockey coach. At that point I shut it off. I must have missed something but, wow, what I was hearing was pretty lame.

The sad thing about Dan Hammert's show is that even when he's discussing something I care about the show is terrible. I haven't listened in months. I think the best hour he had was when he was on vacation and the weekend sports guy from KVLY talked high school sports last winter.

Lakes was pretty sweet on PA's show.

Great job Lakes. I may give you some shit for the stuff you post on the internet, but you've always been able to get NDSU some airtime on KFAN and in my mind that more than makes up for it.

Thats because SDSU and Brookings really suck. They are both a really crappy comparison of your school and location to Boise State. Well, yeah. SDSU being compared to Boise State is ridiculous but then SDSU isn't NDSU. The first post was like somebody comparing a Chevy Cobalt to a Porsche 911 because they both have small back seats.
