NDSU Enrollment

Just a random question,

Does anyone know if NDSU plans on increasing enrollment numbers? I see NDSU has 14,186 students (wikipedia), and was wondering if they plan on going up anytime soon again.

After our new pres has a chance to look at things and push where he wants, we'll reach 16,000 in two years. We'll be at 14,500--14,600 this year when the final count is in.

This will be our 14th straight year of enrollment growth, and our 11th straight year of record enrollment. I don't expect that will change in the next few years.

That's a lot of students. There were only about 8,000 - 9,000 when I was a student from 1986-1991.

They're still trying to figure out how to combine NDSU and UND enrollment. Complicating matters is the current wet cycle has made it impossible to unearth some of the students that are surely on campus in el Forko but unavailable for counting. That, and a glitch in Google Analytics made it damn near impossible to garner an acceptable hit rate on their home page so online enrollment is still being measured. Better hop on the bullet train and see if the GF'ers need help crunching numbers.
