I can't believe this sh#t. Something similar happened at Iowa State about 10 years ago. The girl in Ames was charged and convicted of screwing with the police. There was no grab for money in Des Moines or a line of b.s. excuses for why it happened.
In the big scheme how many people who commit stupid one-time crimes could be helped with counseling? My guess is most of 'em.
All that we need is one counselor per person and the crime rate would plummet!
The nice thing about this happening is people now know that Freshman X is a nut job, maybe she has serious mental illness issues or maybe she is just another flake, but that is valuable information to people like me who are required to interact with all these nutzos in the fishbowl we call Earth.
