"In less than a week, the Bison Women’s volleyball team will face their first opponent of the year in the Louisville Cardinals.

The Bison open the season at Louisville playing in a two game tournament called the Cardinal Classic. In the second game of the weekend the Bison will face Ohio, but first, we should take a look at Louisville and how they performed last season..."

This is cute, from a University of Louisville Blogspot billing themselves as the "Cardinal Couple":

For bonus points...what does NDSU stand for...Northern Delaware Sailor University, North Dakota State University or Nebraska DesMoines Southwest University?

Methinks they'll know EXACTLY who NDSU is when they stare at the L on their schedule results...

Great interview yesterday on sports talk with Hinterstocker. He was saying how they are refusing to play any teams that will not give them a return game. NDSU has only hosted 1 tourny the last 4-5 years where schools usually host 1-2 per year. Was pointed out big teams like a Florida St. and a Ohio St. refuse to play in the BFF. Sports talk personalities Quoted, "The Bison are unbeatable in the BFF." Talked about how NDSU was just on the bubble of being an at large bid type team. Great segment. Great team this year!

Why would they refuse to play in the BBF? Scared of a little competition? Of some noise? Of the band?

Seriously though I can kind of see that... it'd be a trap game for them and one that they could easily lose regardless of talent differential.

Upon further review, it's pretty awesome that Coach H can command a home-and-home and get it instead of just begging for quality matches. That's a measure of respect right there.

It's no different than any other sport, it's mostly about $$$$$$.

2.5 hours to gametime (is Louisville KY Eastern or Central time?)! It'd be great to start the season out with a huge win over a team like the Cardinals!

Cards win last set 25-17 :smh:

Edit: By last set I mean the one that just finished, not the last of the match. That was a little unclear...

It seems like Louisville is able to sub a lot more than we are. Is that a depth issue?? Or a strategy thing?
