How are our kickers looking? Haven't heard much about them and I don't know if that is a good thing.

The tF looked much better than Jastram when I watched them kick opening week. Jastram looks to me like a kickoff specialist.

I do believe he was scheduled to be back from a leg muscle pull the beginning of this week.

Don't we have a new long snapper this year as well?

True freshman kicker Adam Keller practiced for the first time after recovering from a pulled quad. It probably won’t be until the end of next week before a decision is made for the KU game, if that.

Among many things in a very nice update from Kolpack on the media blog, make sure to check it out. Keep'm coming Jeff!

True freshmen long snapper.......thats a little unnerving. How fast ya think his heart rate is gonna be that first snap against Rock Chock Jhawk??

Jon Pike is also a long snapper. He is a JUCO fighting for a backup FS position.

At 180 lbs he is a small long snapper though.

That's assuming we'll need to punt. ;)

NO punts, but FGs and PATs will still need a long snapper's services:)

We're going for it on 4th down/for 2 all the way. :)
