Practice Starts

Monday August 2nd is a date I have heard.

Usually the freshmen report a day early, so I dont know if that is the 1st or 2nd.

Media day is usually the 2nd day of practice.

A schedule of scrimmages is usually released when practice starts.

Got another import date: The senior football camp is on July 24th.

I believe it got up into the 180's is all, latest figure has the official count at 194, unofficially it's over 200.


And how much are the paying the recruits, now?

At this point they probably don't know what the stipends are going to be as they're not received until after the marching season is over. My freshman year I think it was like $150, and last year it was in the $300 neighborhood. A lot of it is going to depend on what kind of finances Pres. Bresciani allocates for it and less so on the actual number of people. It does follow a progressive system where longer-term members receive a larger stipend as well as band officers, drum majors, etc. so at this point TbonZach must be making a few hundred g's each year. :D

I believe that Fan Day at the Fargodome is set for Aug. 18th at 6:30 pm. Football, Volleyball and Soccer teams will be there signing autographs. Games Galore will also be there.

Another important date--the week of August 9th is when the new issue of Bison Illustrated comes out!
