Now we can say that Division II has become REALLY watered down. If I recall, these are both former DAC schools. Mary and Minot State (former DAC) are already DII.

In retrospect, we really should've made the move no later than the early 90's, when schools like Cal-Poly and Jacksonville State moved up, but what's done is done. Let's just hope that we don't end up in the same division as these schools in the future.

im interested to see what happens to the rest of the DAC. not sure why jamestown insists on staying NAIA, they should be making the jump DII with minot/sioux falls/black hills/mines, though thats based solely on athletic performance and those schools are doing it for the academic and research purposes.

There's rumblings in the NAIA community that Dickinson State has verbal assurances from the Frontier Conference that there would be a spot open if DSU needs it. The DAC will have only 5 schools and no auto qualifier, so this is good for DSU if true.

Jamestown might be able to slide into the spot Sioux Falls will leave open when they join the NSIC. As far as Mayville and VC? There's no way they move up to D2, the only school that might be able do it is Dickinson. I think Mayville and VC might end up in Independent Hell or drop to D3.

Looks like Lindenwood University down here in St Charles MO is also going D-II. :eek: glad we got out of that shit...:smh:

Just think, if we had listened to the visionaries up at UND, we could very well still BE in D2. The Firetrucks have us to thank for basically giving them an excuse to move up. It's sad how Kuppy and RT fought the D1 move.
