Former Bison pitcher Matt Mossey pitched a perfect game for the Redhawks tonight through the first out in the 8th inning, when a player for Gary beat out the throw for an infield hit. The next play was a double play, and Mossey ended up facing only 27 batters for the game, which the Redhawks won 7-0.

Coach Montgomery said on the radio afterwards, that as far as he knows, there has never been a perfect game thrown in the Northern League.

Jake Laber got the win in Game 2 and Matt Mossey got the win in Game 3 for the RedHawks in the 1st round of the Northern League playoffs...nice work by a couple of ex-Bison. Be proud of these guys, they are doing a great job for the local club. Don't forget about Jeremiah Piepkorn and Kole Zimmerman either...that's a lot of Bison doing good things for the RedHawks (not to mention Steve Montgomery and Matt Erzar).
