I am a Perez fan

...and a Mohler fan...and a Jensen fan...and a Thorton fan.


Personally, I respect each QB's game but I would like to see Perez get some more love from the fan base. The kid is a straight up killer athlete that had boat loads of FBS scholly offers as an athlete. Perez isn't the kind of kid with baggage...he lead the Bible study at his juco. A leader. Anyone that has been to a spring practice can see the kid has a rocket arm, is extremely accurate, with tons of mobility.
So here he is, a 4th year junior with arguably the most talent of the current QB's and experience in a talent rich juco league in California, fighting for his chance to win over Bison Nation.

Ps, Bohl has started the oldest QB for the season every season since he got to Fargo ;)

I'm just thrilled we're talking about multiple QBs :)

Seriously, I don't care who starts, I figure it will be Mohler given his experience and growth last fall. However, I think the offense has a real chance to expand it repertoire of plays.

The wildcat formation hasn't been terribly exciting for me to watch since most teams run out of it over 80% of the time. Way too predictable. I envision a real 'wild buffalo' formation with Perez where the threat of throwing or running is 50:50. I think that could really screw up opposing defenses.

I hope Vigen is looking at something like this to utilize Perez and to get him into the game should he not win the starting job.

Excellent post. Perez and Jensen both came to NDSU with reputations for leadership. Judging by his public comments and interviews, I think Jose Mohler has grown up a lot in the last year or two. May the best man win!
