A lot of people have commented on disappointment that we didn't get Nate Wolters. I still say it is too early to say that. Remember the Wolters scholarship went to Braun and we haven't even seen him on the court yet. I am excited by what I'm hearing about that kid.

Very fair. He simply isn't strong enough to finish against the big boys right now. In a perfect world, he probably redshirts, but since we had to have him to play now, he is forced into action. I have seen him play well in spurts on offense, so I think it is there.

He will be but has Burgundy said he is still very young and does not have the strength to go up against the seniors which play the position. It does not help either that he usually gets 2 quick fouls and has to sit for big minutes in many of the games. Just wait until next year when he gets a chance to lift in the off season and coaches are able to work with him on his footwork and offense.

Now we have to go home and get some momentum and maybe take one or two in SF. Build towards next year, which is looking brighter and brighter with the play of Zastrow.

Something simple and obvious but....now that Nagel is ramping up his minutes and will certainly be a major post player in the Bison future, he really needs to focus on improving his free throw shooting. Certainly, only nine attempts on the season is a small sample, but only making two of those, that percentage in the future can be a huge liability for a "go to" post in critical game situations.

Don't tweek out man...just because I don't sit on these boards all the time dosn't mean I don't follow the Bison (my home team too) as much as the next guy...wow

I'm sure you follow them, what i'm saying is they don't explode in the 2nd half, they've came back and won before in the 2nd half so not really sure what you're trying to get at, ya they've lost games in the 2nd half too, but we all knew the team would have a tough year, I"m really proud to see where they're at now. If you aren't then not really sure what to say.

Certainly natural and nothing that any Bison fan should be ashamed about in feeling that way. Even though he's only a freshman, it doesn't appear to me as though Zastrow will be the next Woody. He has grown up a lot since the beginning of the season and as long as quality recruits consistantly come into the program, the Herd will be OK in the post Woodside era.

Zastrow needs to start imo. I know Pennick is a senior but he does nothing offensively. He's a good defender but he does a great job of increasing our team fouls. Zastrow runs the offense well and sees the floor well. Just put Pennick in when we need him in defensive situations.

Gotta agree with Ming, Pennick brings nothing to the table offensively, and when he starts he usually gets two fouls before I can blink.

Let Zastrow get in early and see if he can get into a flow, when he is on the offense is so much better. Pennick can come in to cool off the hot hand if need be like Burgandy said.

JJ did get the better of Zastrow, but I don't mind the Summit player of the year teaching our freshman a lesson. He isn't going to learn how to defend guards like JJ on the bench or in practice...Maybe AP should have came in for a minute or two but we need Zastrow running the point.

Warren Niles. Alex Young. Robert Glenn. Dominique Morrison. Davis Baker. None of them played better at our place this season than Michael Tveidt.

When I checked the stat sheet, I was shocked to see Tveidt had missed eight shots. He made buckets from all over the floor.


Good win over a pretty tough team. I'll be shocked if NDSU doesn't get back to the upper ranks of the conference next year. Zastrow looks like a nice player for them. Also very impressed with Tveidt's offensive game. I expect Maynard to play that kind of a scoring role for us next year.

Tough loss, but we left it all on the court. For Andy only playing a few minutes all year he stepped up. Kampy's interview at halftime was CLASSIC. "I don't want to hear about that cutting the nets down crap. We aren't playing with any passion. etc. etc." You have to respect that guy! If nothing else, it proved if we can get in the 4-5 and beat SDSU, we might roll with Oakland the next day. ;)

How amazing would it be if we swept next week and SDSU lost both. Putting us ahead of SDSU in the standings after they were supposed to be so amazing this year. Although, we'd still have to play them in the tourney

You know what? This is a team I'm starting to actually like more and more. Quality program and unlike ORU they're not utter douchebags. None of this whining about a win or feeling sour about how their boys played - regardless of your opinion on the Bison (in our case overwhelmingly in favor of ;)), kudos to any program who gives credit to the other guys in any situation. In this case I'm about as OK with a loss as you can be, and in the future I'm looking forward to some more good games. If there's one thing you can say about Oakland it's that they always provide quality competition and the games always seem to be exciting.

Great to see that's not gone from sports.

Oakland is an outstanding team--Jones, Nelson, Benson, etc. They are deserving of the SL regular season championship. Congratulations to the Golden Grizzlies and their fans!

I was really pleased with how the Bison played and competed last night. Tveidt was outstanding and the freshmen played great. It was fun to see Andy Nagel get some minutes and perform really well. I heard that a potential Bison recruit (not Jay Harris) was in the house and came away with a very positive impression. The future is bright!
