This is an early signing period for track, so it's not nearly the big deal football is. But Ryun added 4 throwers and a distance runner yesterday. They all look like solid performers, participating in the state meet as sophomores. All of the throwers have PRs around 40 feet in the shot, but Drevlow throws the javelin as well. When recruiting women for track, it is very easy to tell if they can compete at the college level right away since all of the implements (shot, javelin, discus) are identical in weight to the college implements. This is not the case for men. Hurdle heights are also the same, but not for the men. So you can just plug their performances into the Summit League Championship results and have a good idea if they can contribute.
