Great news! Remind me of his measureables....does he need to add 10 lbs. of muscle....reduce his 40 time a bit ??

What NFL back(s) are similar to PP in running style, measurables etc.

He does need to add considerable lower body strength to be effective in the NFL. Start hitting the squat rack Pat, that will be your ticket to a lofty pay check.

Pat is listed as #27 here http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/TSX/2010_RB

That almost surely means FA.

Deji Karim as ahead of Pat at #21.

From Todd McShay's blog at the Shrine Bowl.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft10/insider/news/story?id=4837517

• Lonyae Miller (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?id=25215&draftyear=2010)'s decision to attend the Senior Bowl next week created a roster spot for North Dakota State RB Pat Paschall (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?id=25190&draftyear=2010). The FCS prospect didn't look like a small fish in a big pond. He ran downhill and showed great burst through the hole. Look for his draft stock to rise if he continues to run hard once the pads go on and shows teams he can contribute as a receiver.

Go Pat!

Go Pat Go! imho he can make it. Seldom do you see a back that can avoid the big hit like he can.

The 2nd day of practices didn't go as well for Pat. McShay put him in his "bad day" category with this write-up:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft10/insider/news/story?id=4840367

Paschall is an intriguing small-school prospect with good quickness and overall athleticism. Unfortunately, his weaknesses overshadowed his strengths during practice on Tuesday. First off, he dances behind the line of scrimmage too much and even though he got away with it a couple of times, Paschall needs to be a more decisive runner in order to contribute in the NFL. Secondly, head coach Marty Schottenheimer scolded Paschall for carrying the ball in the wrong arm (left) when he bounced a run to the right sideline. He must learn the importance of ball security in order to survive at the next level. Finally, Paschall got into a bit of a verbal disagreement with one of the West's assistant coaches during the team session. Someone needs to remind Paschall that he's auditioning for the scouts, coaches and front-office members who are lining the boundary of the field each day at practice.

I'm pulling for Pat and I think he has a good chance of making at least a practice squad this coming season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get drafted in the 7th round, he'll surely at least get a FA signing. The more MVC players in the NFL the better. I'm actually surprised I haven't seen much about Buckman as an NFL prospect.

I wonder if moving Buckman from tackle to guard last year hurt his exposure?

it is subscription site so this is all I could get

Pat Paschall, who rushed for 1397 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior for North Dakota State, impressed many in attendance. Paschall showed great quickness

Heres what I found at this site (have to scroll way down to get to day 3 comments):

Pat Paschall (North Dakota State) was finally wearing the correct helmet today and he looked fantastic! Paschall is great in open space, but really looked good between the tackles today. He stayed low when going through the hole, and would wait until he was in the second level before bouncing it outside. He sees the field well, and had a great cutback run that would have been at least a 40-yard touchdown. The West squad was using him effectively on outside pitch plays, but he was also grinding out tough yards inside. He would keep his feet moving after contact, and has a great stutter step before changing direction. Paschall doesn’t lose much speed when changing direction, and had a spin move he used inside the hole at the line of scrimmage to gain 4-yards on what should have been a loss of 2.

He also had a mention in Day 2 practice.

A lot of good comments for Pat. He was truely a special player and if given the chance in the right system will definately make it. Keep up the good work Pat.
