First Northeastern, now Hofstra cancels its football program.


Hofstra University is expected to announce the termination of its football program Thursday, according to a source. The dramatic announcement, believed to be based largely on financial reasons, is to be made at an 11 a.m. press conference.

Several former Long Island high school stars, led by freshman Miguel Maysonet and sophomore Brock Jackolski, will be affected by the decision. Under NCAA...

You suppose the CAA had some insight into these 2 schools dropping football, and thats why they admitted ODU and Georgia St. before they even had teams??

Sounds like the CAA will scrap divisions for a year, it should be really interesting to see what happens now that the CAA has lost some of its fluff.
