man that 2006 team was very good. I would say our best team ever. That defense was so good, they allowed only 40 rushing yards per game

So much poise on both sides of the ball were the keys to that 2006 Minnesota game. (despite the loss) The thing that sticks out to me is the way they broke the huddle on offense. No urgency, no fear, just confidence and execution. Walker coming up under center was a thing of beauty....just knowing what to do and getting it done. Defensively, good players managing their assingments and putting excellent pressure on the Minnesota offense especially the Bison linebackers.

Another thing. Kudos to Ca for getting this up. It took me back to the day I was watching this game on my tiny laptop. At the outset, I'm thinking.....OK boys, just keep this thing respectable, play error free and at least stay on the field with these guys. As the game got into the second half, my thoughts turned to overwhelming confidence and pride. I was really bummed when the last second field goal was blocked, but knowing they'd have another crack at them in '07 was excellent.

A lot of good comments that I totally agree with. I'll add the tackling ability...wowza. We really wrapped up, and made it hurt at the same time. The whole defense had this.

I'm going to do a Steffes highlight video sometime. Probably some other guys too. We could take the Montana & 2006 MN game and probably fill ten minutes of Kyle's outstanding running plays. It's easy to forget how good he was.
