Junior guard Rod Pearson, who made the game-winning shot in Wednesday's upset of Stanford, injured his left knee and watched the second half from the bench as the Golden Eagles fell 76-55 at the University of Virginia on the second leg of the Cancun Challenge.

Late in the first half, Pearson made a steal and was on his way to the basket, but came up limping and grimacing after trying to make a sharp cut on his left leg, ORU head coach Scott Sutton said.

"I don't want to speculate, but it looks severe," Sutton said. "We had two kids go down the same day a few weeks ago with torn (anterior cruciate ligaments) in the same practice. This would be our second point guard to go down."

Freshman point guard Hunter McClintock and redshirt freshman forward Tim Morton injured their knees in the same Oct. 30 practice session and are out for the year.
