I just wish our FB team would have been good enough to have lost their playoff chances at the end of the season. Turns out they were out of it by week five.

Absolute terrible post on your part and clearly you have not listened to the head coach at all through out the season. Erich has been everything but arrogent and has shown tremondous amounts of class. You have to have high expecatations when you have the talent that NDSU has. Perhaps before you run your mouth, take the time to actually listen to his press conferences.

We're all frustrated since it was such a monumentally bad day overall for the Bison. I love this town and this school and want nothing but the best. We'll get over it rebound in the future.

This has to be the worst day in NDSU athletics history. Lose in Football, Basketball, and Volleyball.

Doesn't matter what the coach says. Check the demeanor of the players, and not just on the court but at a bb game for instance. I've watched bison sports for more than 40 years and I new they weren't going to win this game. Doesn't mean I don't support them. Maybe they learned a good lesson. I feel really bad for Kelly, she is a dude! I'm sure she had her mind in the right place.

DJKyRo's attitudes towards the various sports programs after this weekend:

Women's basketball - positive. Good team, not a bad loss.

Men's basketball - positive. Young team with a lot of potential.

Football - absolutely livid. Horrible season, terrible loss that ruined any momentum we had going into the offseason.

Volleyball - sad. I don't think I've been closer to actual tears (yes, tears, for how un-manly it sounds) for other people in quite a while.

Tough weekend for Bison fans...even tougher weekend for marching band members. :(

In retrospect, if going 20-4 on the season and losing in the 5th set of the championship match of the conference tournament is characterized as "life sucks" then I'd say overall we didn't have too shabby of a season.

girls just didnt come to play today... ipfw played the game of their lives. ndsu played the worst game of their lives. ipfw also came fired up, we didnt. we prolly beat them 9 matches out of 10... tonight it was that one time. summit winning streak, best team in the league, our home court. we had everything to lose... ipfw had nothing to lose

Disagree, the vb team did not come out flat or different attitude than any other match this season. They had a 5+ point lead in middle of first set, and were up 24-21 in it. They simply didn't finish that set off.

They certainly didn't play that poorly today by any means, not great or near their best but probaby near average for them. IPFW played to best of their ability and pulled it off. Good for them, bad for us.

We were at this game last night and you really have to say that both teams left it all out on the court. You really have to give credit to IPFW, they come into a huge hometown supported teams court and played the game of thier life... they were flying around like cats out of a cage in a barn full of mice (?). Thier #6 was virtually killing the ball every time and we did a great job to get back to even after 4 games.

No, I dont think we came out flat or were overconfident, it was just one of those nights where it was a real battle on the court and we lost. We should really get an NCAA bid I hope but the powers that be of that process have no sympathy and no extra spots for a team like ours that doesnt meet the criteria - must win conf. tournament, that is so weird.

To all our players and coaches - congrats on a great season and hold your heads high! (PS - could someone throw my daughter a ball next year?)

I agree totally. IPFW just outplayed them. You have to take your hats off to IPFW for playing a excellent match.

IPFW did its scouting that is for sure.

The only game that I thought did not look good was the second. We should have won the first set, and that was an emotional let down I am sure. but the third, fourth and half of the fifth were played well.

IPFW's libero was a champ, she dug them out of a lot of holes, not taking anything away from NDSU, but that player did awesome.

I really think that IPFW had us pegged from the left side. We kept going back there and they were double blocking us all night long. We were much better from the middle.

Phenominal job, though, by the Bison, and looking forward to next year. (unforunetly, I do not beleive that we get a auto-bid.)
