I know that we're losing by double digits right now but I still really like what I am seeing from this young team. I actually think we're a more physical team that I've seen in the last few years. When Aaberg matures a little more, he is going to be a load.

Overall it was a disappointing loss but I'm still impressed with the team - they show a lot of promise in the coming seasons if not in the next few games. Aaberg especially - that monster rejection he had today made me wish we could fastforward to next season already with TrayVonn, Marshall, and Taylor dominating the frontcourt with the guy I shall be calling "The Enforcer."

defense should be the main concern of this team right now... transition and perimeter defense are flat-out awful right now... i cant even count how many times our players lost track of one of theirs in transition they got an easy wide open 3 or went right inside? unbelievable how they just lost track of their guys like that... so many uncontested outside shots and once again another team shoots well against us...

What would be OK for you? Remember this team lost four 4-year starters and then Coleman, the most athletic guy left.

.500 sounds about right - as long as they improve as the season goes on, I'll be OK with things. Get into the conference championships so the team gets a taste and see what happens.

There's lots of negativity in this thread. I'm not sure why. I saw a ton to be optimistic about. Sure, there are things to work on and a loss is always hard but I don't think that there was really much difference between the Bison and an upper level WAC team yesterday.

I hope what I wrote didn't seem pessimistic. My point was supposed to be that the success of this team should be measured by how much the team has improved by the end of the season rather than by how many games it wins. It'd be great to win a lot of games but, really, as the VB team so sadly found out, it is better to be hot in the postseason than dominant during the regular season.

The let him push himself around too....that helped. They very easily could have called a couple offnsive fouls and completely deflated his game. ;)

The young Bison hung with a very good team. As someone mentioned, they made our veteran team look bad last year.

One thing you have to remember about this Bison squad is that it plays three true freshman significant minutes. There will be growing pains but considering that the fab four had a red shirt year to practice together and get stronger before they actually stepped on the floor, these true freshman are doing fantastic I think.

As the season goes on, I think this team will seem very deep.

our frosh looked promising... they will be something in a few years. agreed, idaho is a pretty good team. they were long and fairly athletic, plus good size. they took down utah, they did lose to Texas Southern but were picked 2nd in a decent WAC conference.

I thought NDSU played a decent game defensively and that kept us within striking distance of Idaho throughout the game. As long as the defensive effort is there in future games we will have a good chance to win provided we can actually shoot better than 32%.
