Not sure if this is anywhere else, but how is Paschall not in the top 20 for this award? My only guess is it has to deal with the suspension.

The fact his team is 1-5 really hurts him, however, I think he will make an excellent pro.

The nominees for the Payton award are chosen before the season starts. They update the list with new candidates a couple times during the season and will probably update within the next couple weeks. I would bet anything that Pat will be on the updated list.

There were a few additions added today. Your runningback was not added. But should he really be added. He is only averaging a little over a 100 per game.

umm... since when has 144 yards a game become a little over a 100 per game. Plus he is doing this when all our opponents know the only thing we can do is run. So, that is pretty damn good.

Our record is probably going to inhibit him from being named.

Is that really legit. I am serious. I would think that regardless of your team, if you are amazing that should not inhibit a single player? or am i wrong on that?

I might just be naive, but if this is true that sucks.

I agree. Unfortunately these awards are team based but the voters won't admit that fact. Don't get me wrong, the dude is a great runningback. He torched our defense last weekend. There is a SERIOUS east coast slant to that award, just like the rankings. 15 of the top 20 are from the east coast. Pat Grace won't win the award either. My prediction is Pat Devlin from Deleware because he came from Penn State.

Pat had 118 yards rushing in last Saturday's game. Not sure of this, but I thought that I heard early in the broadcast that UNI had only been allowing something like 65 yards rushing per game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

We had 228 total rushing...and 308 passing.

UNI had 193 rushing and 229 passing.

These stats are taken from the UNI website.

Just like the Heisman, you have to be playing on a top team to be considered. Sucks, but it's the truth.

You are correct. Our defense was only giving up 65 rushing yards per game until we met PP. The kid is a rock star.

I wonder if the suspension affected Paschall getting selected for the watch list. He certainly is worthy.

It's very likely that Pat was affected by the violent play of UNI's #24...who should not be playing tomorrow.

Sorry to say this but I put up those stats and realize that our offense took them to the woodshed except in the red zone and we haven't been able to finish our drives it's one of the stories of the season and it has a lot to do with Pat's outstanding running...sorry to say...

Is that you with the club? Poor Mr. Ed...but I don't think the horse is dead. Isn't that an open eye that I see? Send the picture to the league. They'll screw it up.
