nathan time scares me way too much. especially when he gives up a bomb to the first guy he sees.

Verlander was too good tonight. But I like how the Twins never gave up from being down in both games. Let's hope that fire carries on tomorrow and Thursday. They need to win ideally both or we're going to need some help from the White Sux.

there was a coaching decision last night that really rubbed my ass the wrong way. bottom 7, 1 out, runner on first, jesse crain is pitching. granderson is in the hole and he's been doing work against RHP all day so they have jose mijares warm up to face him. crain works out of the inning leaving granderson to lead off the 8th.

who comes out to face granderson? jesse crain does. what does curtis granderson do? takes him deep. what. the. F#@K.

as a baseball coach i look up to all the pro managers and i try to emulate them, but that situation really had my scratching my head.

/mild rant

It wasn't Crain who took him deep, it was Matt Guerrer (sp?).

my bad, either way, why not have mijares pitch to him?

just looked up grandersons batting averages. against lefties, he's hitting .181 and against righties he's at .280.

against jose mijares, lefties are batting .122 and righties are batting .280.

that really confused me as well. They said on the telecast that Mijares would likely face Granderson if he got up in the 7th, so why did things change in the 8th?

Agreed...He sucks against lefties.
