Amy's going to make the sid's job pretty easy for golf. Just continue sending out the same press release, just change the date, score and tournament.

Golfweek sent posted their 2009 rankings, and Amy is currently ranked 3rd in the country. I'm sure the rankings are not statistically valid yet, but why not post it here. Who ever thought they'd see a NDSU golfer that high on the list?

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE START AN NDSU GOLF SECTION ON THIS BOARD!

Amy is going to win 40 times the next 4 years, she needs a golf section, not an "Other Sports" section.

I agree, that we should have a golf section. No reason it should be lumped with club hockey.

I don't agree that she's going to be here for 4 years. I think we'll be lucky if we get 2 or 3.

Nice article in this week's Golf World magazine:
There are college debuts and then there's what reigning U.S. Girls'Junior Champion Amy Anderson pulled off last week in her first start at North Dakota State. With an opening-round 69 at the Chip-N-Club Invitational, the 17-year-old Oxbow, N.D. native broke the school's 18-hole scoring mark by 2 strokes. She matached it with a 69 after a second-round 72, giving her a six-under 210 to win the individual title and also break the Bison's 54-hole school record.. by 13 strokes. Anderson is the seventh player in school history to win an event and just the second to win a D-1 title.

Is the fall golf season done for the Bison?

roadwarrior

No, the fall season is not done.

The women travel to Wichita State Shocker invitational Oct 19-20.

The men travel to UMKC Bill Ross invitational Oct 19-20.

Then they are off until March.

I think Amy finished in 7th place in the ORU event last week. Made a charge from 22nd the first day to 7th. Wasn't a win, but a top ten against a good field.

Amy's leading the Wichita St. tournament after one round.

On a side note has I'm assuming Wichita St. and Oregon St. have played in some sport. What a matchup!!

Not much on Amy this spring, but this week she won the Creighton Invitational, which was her record 5th victory of her career. All 9 months of it!!
