From the looks of it we're going to have roughly 80+ band peepz there on Saturday. Expect a party and a Bison victory!

Like no joke. Of the 180 of us at rehearsal yesterday well over half said they'd be down for Saturday. I actually fear for the structural integrity of the BBF.

Well, kudos to the band! The games I went to last year where the band was there were an absolute blast. Definitely a big-time atmosphere and I would have to believe a massive home court advantage...

Thinking of bringing my kids to their first Bison VB match. THey're pretty excited since one of their old sitters is on the team. Does the ORU game have a chance of selling out? Are all tickets GA?

Thanks,

So far as I know all seating is GA, but with the new seats (which look mad classy, I might add) that might have changed. Maybe a few Teammakers seats or Boosters area or something of the like. My guess is on GA though.

Also I'm pretty sure this game has the potential to sell out - first home sporting event of the semester, and volleyball is arguably our strongest sport right now. Bison fans are hungry for a home win!

All are general admission seats. Oral Roberts is who we beat for the Summit Championship last year. My advice is to get there early.

I think it was the same heating/cooling system in there as the BSA has. Great refit of BBF though, what a venue!!

NDSU volleyball 1500+

UND The University of North Dakota volleyball team opened its Great West era in sweeping fashion on Thursday night, blanking Houston Baptist in front of a Betty Engelstad Sioux Center record crowd of 508.

That's not exactly a fair comparison. NDSU charges $8/ticket and UND games are free. :frog:

Ding ding ding ding!!!! Makes their coach's salary that much more ridiculous--by definition it's a zero-revenue sport at teh university.

Hmmmmm, NDSU drew 540 for their home opener (http://www.gobison.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=11882&SPID=696&DB_OEM_ID=2400&ATCLID=187749) in their second year of DI (2005). So not really a huge difference I would say. North Dakota volleyball was a historically weak DII program, not quite at the same level right now as your NCAA playoff squad, but things are looking up. So setting attendance records right now would seem to be a good thing.
