Guess I think i agree with ming in disagreeing with you. I think the conference had actually a very respectable showing this weekend, and UNI got the conf some good media coverage.

How has indiana state already lost 2 games?

They lost a game to an naia team...

But yes the schedule was tough, just alot of losses all at once.

I think they get an automatic L for just being Indiana State...

But yes the schedule was tough, just alot of losses all at once.

They scheduled a mid-level NAIA school (.500 at best) as their opener. With the improved coaching staff (former Viking Trent Walters is one of them) and much better recruiting (they are picking up some excellent Indiana players who are not quite Big 10 material), I think they expected to end their losing streak against Quincy.

They jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first half but lost 26-20 in overtime. Quincy then went on to lose 72-3 in week 2 to OVC member SE Missouri which made the ISU loss even worse. They played Louisville and I expected a really ugly game. When I saw it was 30-10 I was pleasantly surprised. Not sure if Louisville took it easy on them or ISU stepped it up.

They will definitely not be a force in the MVFC this year but I see a young team that is improving.

Well, Delaware State is 0-2 and they have only played one game thus far.

ive stated this before, they will improve, they are YOUNG, 6 RFR, 31 FR, 26 SOPH, 15 JR, and 8 Seniors!!

they will knock someone out this year in the MVFC just my opinion!

Id hope they knock someone out, you cant be the detroit lions of 2008 forever.

Id guess football will go the way of the dinosaurs if they dont start winning.

I feel for IndiSU though.

My school was similar, i think they hold the ND 9 man failing at football record.

We lost everygame for like 12 years straight or something. it was ridiculous.

But we broke the losing streak when i was a freshman :P.

My high school in the 1990's held the type of distinction that InSU has. We lost something like 40 straight games in the mid 90's. Former Bison great Mike Favor came in and started coaching there in 1997 (when I was a freshman) and turned a 40-loss streak into a 4-6 season. Still they haven't had a winning season since 1975...

Indiana State lost to Quincy? Man, that is brutal. I was just going to point out that they played Louisville surpringly well, but that is just pathetic.

As other posters pointed out, MVFC teams played very stiff competition; not only FBS teams but good FBS teams, no MAC or Sun Belt teams. That said, I think Marshall's win over Southern Illinois is something of an upset.

Yeah, I was honestly surprised by it. Granted, I don't know much about Marshall this year, but that in itself is usually a sign they aren't great lol

I believe Hebron has one of the longest winning streaks in the history of ND too though. So maybe someday ISU will be something like what App St. has done using your analogy.
