Good luck to both teams. The meet is at Rose Creek today at 5:00 PM. Rose Creek has turned out to be an OK course for an XC meet. Other good area courses for cross meets are Edgewood, Oxbow, Ponderosa, and the Hawley Golf Club. Hawley's probably my favorite with rolling hills and nice footing for the runners.

Weird, I was checking out the results of Bison XC and saw an article that says that Semehar Tesfaye is running for Iowa State now! Ouch.

She finished 9th at Griak today, assisting Iowa State women to the team title. Likely would challenge to win the Summit League. She's a good one...tough transfer-loss for NDSU.

Yeah, it looks like Williston's own Corey Ihmels finally got a prized recruit from North Dakota at the expense of NDSU. He whiffed on the Anderson sisters and on Jessie Kindschie who ran for the Jacks and later was a top 10 finisher in the national meet for BYU. Bad for the Bison because Semehar was going to put all of the distance records out of reach at NDSU. But at least another North Dakota can lead her career to new heights.

Wierd coincidence...before signing on to this message board, was talking with another Jack fan and Kindshie's name came up. She was All-America for BYU after transferring from SDSU and was the second runner on BYU's national-title winning X-country team.

Tesfaye is not only good now, it appears she's continuing to improve.

I got the "skinny" on why she transferred. PM me if anyone cares, but I can tell you that it had nothing to do with her not liking it here. She still keeps in touch with Ryun.
