North Dakota State's women's volleyball team was a unanimous pick to win The Summit League in a preseason poll of the league's 10 coaches.

Let's hope that if we get into the NCAA's again, we won't have to face a team as tough as the Gophers. I mean, they just manhandled us that night. And they were a lot bigger than us too.

I'm still not convinced we played women that night. Some of them looked like they could take any of our football players in a fight (except for Mike Fairbairn).

Maybe it was us. There might be a rule(official or otherwise) saying you can't vote yourself as #1. Or maybe it was IPFW.

There is a rule that you can't vote for yourself or members of your team when it comes to Summit League polls and all-conference teams.

Look at our roster. Expect NDSU to be on top of the Summit for the next 4 years. 4 solid classes in place and the talent is growning.

The question for me . . . can a team from the Summit move up and compete nationally with teams like MN. We will see.
