If you have a tailgating rig or know of one please post the rig type and more importantly the name of the rig. (We need to name ours and don't want to duplicate one already in use.)

Ours? 1995 Ford 53 passenger bus/Un-named.

I'd avoid anything close to Rolling Thunder. There's at least a handful already.

As a little FYI for you guys before the Ames invasion, the latest batch of homebrew, which was bottled a bit over a week ago has been dubbed "Rev and Backfire ale" as a tribute.

My 3 year old twins call my 1990 Chevy conversion van the "Go Bison" van. Otherwise, my softball team labeled it the "Shaggin' Wagon" or the "Stabbin' Cabin" when I brought it out to a tourney this summer.

Feel free to use those all you want!!!!!

And if you really want to make sure you find your rig in the tailgating lot...put your Bisonville screen name on it...

The pics shown so far look awesome! Wish I could make it up for a home game :ranting:

Seems like the whole tailgating experience has exploded in the last few years, from what I've seen.

Take your time and let the name come. Otherwise, it's just another name - no matter what you call it. The best nicknames tend to be those that have good stories behind them.

What I'm really looking for is names that are already in use (to avoid duplication). Here is a list of names that are in use or we won't use;

Bison Pride
Bison Trough
Thundering Herd
Rollin Thunder
Tatanka
Thunderstruck
Grillmaster
Green Monster
Will you be there?

Along with the others already mentioned here, which ones did I miss. We'll know it when we hear it. Thanks!

I would highly recommend taking a spirit walk or a vision quest.

Take the van off roading into a very remote part of the world, no map, blindfolded, letting the van's soul be your guide. Only then when you have let the van choose for itself, will you have a proper name for your machine.

This has saved me many a long walk home.

We're going to do our Fantasy Draft in it on Saturday, that should do the trick.

Also need to add to your list:
Rolling Thunder (yes, this one is in addition to Rollin Thunder)
Battlewagon
Can't think of their names, but there are two other nicely wrapped greyhound buses which are not in the list above.

Have some suggestions for ya.......how about "Rizon Bizun" or "Bizun Ride" or "Blazin Bizun".

Would be nice if this website was organized like it used to be with the a coverpage of NDSU football information, links to other websites and a place to share game photos. Someplace it would be nice to have a catalog of tailgate rigs containing their names, owner(s), and home town with interior, front, side and rear view photos. Maybe someone can start one this year (Bisonguy)? Must be about 35 different rigs now if you count trailers.

As a tribute to Bison Fans at the games we named our rig "12th Man".
