I thought the articles were pretty lame. Besides that ticket sales are going great did anyone really learn anything?

Dan, everyone knows that the best source of info on the Bison is right here at Bisonville. Now the general public knows some things we've known for a while.

Yes I suppose your right but it seems that some reporter could dig into the depth chart per position, who came into camp that looking good, etc. not every other sentence mentioning the off field problems.

Its early in camp and the competition between the QBs was discussed. I think we will see more tough reporting coming in later days.

9000 season tickets and then 4000 for the students. That is a great start. 13000 of the 18700 spoken for before the single game tickets are even taken into account.

5700 possible seats left for each game and you have to figure that a few thousand single tickets have been sold to each game. So it could very well be possible that there are only 3000 tickets left for each game.

We've still got about four weeks to go before the season starts. As a sports editor, is it a better business decision to put everything you know into a set of stories that only runs in one issue, or do you space it out over dozen issues giving out a little bit at a time? Also, from the perspective of the program, which is better: a big dump of info now and then little between now and the ISU game, or a gradually increasing amount of info leading up to that game? The first gives you a spike of interest that fades away, and the second gradually builds up the interest of the casual fan from now until gameday.

And I love the 9000 season tickets sold. I wonder if we can hit 10,000 yet this year, or if that will have to wait until next.

Don't forget, there is about 1,000 tickets given to family of players and visitors to the university, etc. Also believe the student allotment is closer to 3,500 now. So before a game begins there is now 9,000 plus 3,500 plus 1,000 already taken for a total of 13,500. Fargodome capacity is closer to 19,000 with standing room so that leaves about 5,500 tickets at most available for each game. Can see why UNI and Homecoming games are a hot ticket for indivudual sales. Those may already be down to less than a 1000 left.
Is the max with standing room really as much as 19,200 (does anybody know how many standing are allowed by the fire marshall)...... 18,700 plus 100 in each corner for a total of 19,100?
BTW, I have to eat crow on my forecast that season ticket sales would be down due to the ecomomy and questions regarding this years team. Really surprised that over 9000 season tickets were sold given the circumstances. Now either Nick has to make me eat crow or another QB steps up and performs well. I can't take another so-so season.
