Kelsey Peltier (http://www.kjasr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4105:peltier-verbals-north-dakota-state&catid=61:verbals&Itemid=95[u), a 5-8 guard out of Bottineau, has verballed to Coach DeHoff.

DeHoff's first ND recruit and probably the first ND recruit since Amanda Giordat put in her six year stint (I'm not counting Kate Moser - who walked on.)

This is somewhat reminiscent of last year, when the Bison secured several verbals over the course of a couple of weeks.

Welcome to the Bison, Kelsey.

I realize that Bottineau has 3 Class B Championships in a row. Obviously, Kelsey had a lot to do with this. Anyone seen her play? Hopefully we're getting another Nadine Schmidt.

the Forum mentioned that the coach thought she may have proven herself during BB camp. I also chuckled a bit when they said the #1 player signed with Mary College, stars are not always the brightest at first sight!

Let go Bison!!

Forum article (http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/245850/ [u) about Kelsey.

There was lots of speculation on the ndpreps board about where teammate Knife would end up and that she would have plenty of Division One opportunities. Doesn't always work out that way and sometimes the best kids are the one that play outside the limelight.

The last 3-5 years have been a good run for the Bottineau Stars. They have a great coach who inspires the girl to great heights.

I may be a little biased since I am an alumni of Bottineau High.

It was always the highlight of the year to beat Bottineau's ass in football. :D

When I was in highschool the football sucked big time. Don't think much has changed since 1990

Kelsey scored 29 points in Bottineau's 42-26 win over Fordville-Lanking Park-River. Yes.,..that's correct, Kelsey single handedly outscored the #5 team in ND Class B all by herself.

They are ranked #5 based off of last years runner-up finish. They are no where close to the team of last year and will be a regional qualifier at best. If they took Rhalston off of last years team they wouldnt have even been a top 30 team then. They only return one main contributor. For Kelsey to play at the D1 level she should be expected to put up big numbers against that kind of competition. Those earlier games were pretty disappointing unless she put up 8 boards, 5 assists, and 4 steals as well.
