An indoor softball facility...a bubble. Anyone have any ideas as to how much it would cost? (even without a lot of seating)

I know...it's CA out on the fringe again. But I'm just curious. Seems like we really have something going with this program for the women. It could be a flagship program for women's sports at NDSU...and could be rented out for other kinds of events, used for other college activities....etc. Maybe soccer games?, football practice, baseball practice...not sure what else.

I know it's probably impractical.

An indoor baseball facility would probably cost more than the baggie originally cost. Just wondering about softball.

If it looked decent...just think of the recruiting tool it would be. To have a major, major women's softball program in the northland would be extremely cool. Seems like the spring keeps coming later...and the falls are lasting longer. That's what my family tells me. It's like a trend that has developed.

There were murmurs about an inflatable dome (like the Sports Bubble in Fargo) right around the start of the DI move. Haven't heard anything about it in the last couple years.

I'm guessing something similiar in size could be used for softball.

Why can't we just use the Sports Bubble?

They have used the dome. There weren't 15,000 there.

It wasn't horrible and it was a home game. I gave it a "C."

I think it was a tourney, wasn't it?

Road will know!

Yes, we had a tourney in there in Feb 2008. And also a home series later in the spring was moved indoors.
