We made the move about 4 months ago from Barnesville to Bemidji, we love it and it is still close enought to make all the Bison Football Games and some basketball.

What is even better? Because NDSU ddint' have much for Hockey, we now have a team to be fanatics for.

This was a great weekend for Beaver Hockey!!! We not the (Gophers or Souix) made the Frozen Four!!! Huge upsets, this is like a 16 seed making the final four in the NCAA Basketball Tournament!

Also, on other news we break ground on our new Events Center this Friday. Below is the link!

this does well for BSU's efforts to join the WCHA in the coming years.

Actually, this is more like a 4 seed making the final four. 16 seeds in bball are usually a couple tiers below the #1 seeds. Where as Bemidji, plays most of the top WCHA teams all year, and usually plays them tough.

With that aside, GO BEAVERS

Congrats Beavers! But, it is more like a #5 or #6 seed making the final four. Based on votes from the final poll they were ranked #22 in the country. Still big upsets though to beat the #2 and #9 ranked teams to get there.

Congrats to the Beavers of BSU. I got a call from a high school friend who graduated from BSU and still lives there, said the whole town is going nuts and he is planning on making the trip to DC. For all the crap we talk about hockey, myself included, this really is a great thing for Bemidji and I would think this should help them get accepted into the WCHA.

Go You Green and White
Go Bemidji Beavers

RAH RAH RAH

I haven't watched a full college hockey game on TV ever, but I did watch that Notre Dame game and loved it!!

I wonder if they get paid enough for making it to the Frozen Four to eliminate the debate of cutting the Men's track program.

They will not receive a cut from the tournament, as they are a Division II program "playing up" in hockey.

Yes, but I'm not sure if they have to be through the transition or not, so it would be 2012-2013 at the latest I guess.

A year ago, I couldn't get a freakin' ticket to UND-BC for under $100 a pop. By the end of the 1st I was thankful we'd told those scalpers to get f'ked. Not surprised by the attendance.

The ideal conference for Bemidji is the WCHA, a 10-team conference with elite teams such as Minnesota, Wisconsin and Minnesota-Duluth.

And crappy teams such as Michigan Tech and UND....

siouxdgj
05-01-2009, 04:05 PM
One of those so-called "crappy" teams--namely UND--has won 14 regular season WCHA championships--and are currently the defending WCHA regular season champions. Those 14 championships are the most of any WCHA team. How's that for crappy?

Congratulations! It appears as if you've picked up on the point: certainly the list of elite teams extends beyond Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Duluth.
