We'll need to watchout for Milwaukee when they bring in the "Big Lumber55". At 6'7 310, the guy has a nice touch and runs the floor pretty well in spurts. My first impression was, no way, but he's a pretty nice player as I saw against Cleveland St.

I'm not sure who can guard the Lumber on the Bison, maybe Luc can gain a few Lbs before 2/21. I'll take 2 Tveidts to cover the guy.

how can the arena football league go down in flames (ok, not quite) but some lame ass minor league indoor soccer crap can sustain itself? pro bowling might have a larger following than professional soccer in this country. the biggest metrosexual in the world (david beckham) came over here to play for way to much money and still nobody gave two shits about the sport. soccer can DIAF for all i care. ive seen better acting in soccer games than in some tv shows.

It's usually never THAT packed...At least it never has been when I was there. It is close to that when we play Butler though. The student section is usually similar to that though. It looks like were playing Detroit but they're a bottom feeder in the Horizon League so that can't be right. It could be UWM vs. Wisconsin but Im not sure we usually have to go to madison for that game. Eventually it'll come to me and I post why it's so full...

I think it's taking people one of two ways...Either A that yea they're gonna come in pissed and kill us or B that they're not as good as everyone thought and beating them as well as winning the Horizon League tourney is all fair game and on the table now. I think it'll be a good game and that we have an ok shot at winning the HL tourney for an auto bid in a few weeks. I think NDSU would like it to be a close game cause if Butler comes in pissed kills us than your are next game and were the one's who are pissed off. Just sayin...

That sure would be sweet if we both got auto bids and pulled upsets in the first round right IZZY?

I was at the Butler-Loyola game Sunday afternoon. Butler is mostly a jump shooting team and they just didn't shoot well. They have a decent inside guy who had a career high 30 points and kept Butler in the game after they fell behind by 18 in the first half. They played much better in the second half and got the game to 2 with 30 seconds left. They had the ball twice down by 2 and couldn't score.

Butler also missed their first 7 free throws (very unusual) and had 9 turnovers. Loyola also shot the ball very well including some very well defensed shots.

I'm curious to see how Butler reacts tomorrow night because they have a very young team. They start 3 freshman and a sophomore! That's why it is so amazing they are doing as well as they are. A young team may not react well to such a surprising loss. As Bison fans know, a team that relies so much on the jump shot can be in trouble if they are having an off day.

Even though Butler lost, it was still fun to watch a game at Hinkle. If you are a basketball fan, you have to see a game there. On consecutive weekends I took my son to see the NDSU game at IUPUI and the Butler game and I completely understand why he is now a Butler fan.

We don't have a lot of big guys. Lucas Moorman is our tallest guy, good defender, meh shooter. Michael Tviedt is about as big, a lot better shooter, not as good of a defender.

We don't have a "Big Bad Motha" type player on our team like you do. Andre Smith used to be close, but he graduated. If we had one of those type players, we'd probably only have a couple losses this year.

North Dakota State has a chance to make some noise come March, thanks to their outstanding three-point shooting ability and ability to take care of the ball. Woodside is one of the most productive players in America, while Winkelman is a scoring and rebounding machine up front. Mike Nelson is an effective three-point shooter who can do a little of everything, and Michael Tveidt has been heating up recently. Wisconsin-Milwaukee is coming off of a huge win over Butler at home on Wednesday night, moving into a tie for fourth in the Horizon. That should give them momentum heading into this game. Tony Boyle is a very good three-point shooter who can also rebound the ball, while Avery Smith is quick and strong with the ball. James Ears is the team’s best rebounder up front, and Ricky Franklin can distribute well.

Lakes...just talked to Lamar Gordon and he said he is giving serious consideration to coming to the game tonight. He said if he does, he'll wear his old Bison jersey. So, look for him.
