1. NDSU- The Bison continue to improve, becoming a better defensive team as the season continue to progress. While NDSU is going to have two games a week for the rest of the season, the improved play by the bench is keeping the minutes down for Woodside, Winkelman, and Nelson. Which is something that could pay off for the Herd as the head down the stretch.

2. ORU- The Golden Eeagles do not stop winning or playing solid defense for that matter. A rough and tumble non-conference schedule that almost proved too much for a young ORU team has made them into a force to be reckoneded with.

3. Oakland- The Golden Grizzlies are struggling but they are still the third best team because nobody else below them can make a case that says otherwise. This team is talented but can coach Greg Kampe get them to play consistently? If so they could be a tough in Sioux Falls, and if not they will continue to fall back into the pack.

4. Centenary- The Genltman had a chance to knock Oakland out of the three spot and perhaps give themselves a chance at second but ORU was just too much. That said, they will get their chance this week as they head to Oakland on Saturday night.

5. SDSU- The Rabbit continue their solid play at Frost and perhaps even locked up a spot in the Summit League tourney with their suprising win over Oakland. Of course the Jack's season has been a rollercoaster ride and who knows what their next two road games will bring.

6. IUPUI- The Jaguars are starting to find themselves, Coach Ron Hunter's team swept the SUU-UMKC road swing and have won three straight games.

7. SUU- The Thunderbirds still are in good shape when it comes to qualifying for the Summit League tourney but their inability to be consistent or win away from home could make them a one and done team.

8. IPFW- The Mastodons are a struggling team and it almost seemed like they packed it in after NDSU opened up a sizable lead on them last Saturday. Coach Fife faces a crucial game against Centenary this Thursday or the backward direction his team is going could began to spiral out of control

9. WIU- After winning their first three games the Leathernecks continue to struggle but they did pick up a win over UMKC last week.

10. UMKC- This team is just a mess, their 2nd leading scorer left and they continue to crumble in close game after close game.
