Finally got one quarterback commit (any more likely, or is this it?), we've got I think 3 WRs who all look like great athletes (has the FL guy committed, or did he just visit?), and Hank Jacobs, Justin Juckem, and a slew of other guys. A bunch of good coaches returning to keep this freight train rolling, a few new coaches to make sure its pointed in the right direction. Some good players from the last years are still around to make an impact.

Anyone else feeling pretty good about the future of Bison football this morning?

I agree. Wish we could have had a couple of DB's thrown in the mix, but it looks like we have the front end of the defense well covered...

Fl FBS transfer is on campus and going to classes. Info on this posted in other threads.

Hallstrom quoted Jensen today in his blog "He also told me that NDSU coaches have now told him that he is the only QB they plan to take this class, so unless something happens late, it appears that they have cut bait on Taylor Davis, the AZ kid." So, it would appear only one QB this year, but I like his size, stats (esp. only 2 INTs) and confidence. I also like that he was offered preferred walk on status at WI.

I think the DB situation may also be resolved to some degree with what Hallstrom also posted about a visit from another kid "NDSU will be getting a visit this weekend by Marcus Williams, a receiver/safety out of Hopkins High School. He had 6 interceptions on defense, and on offense had 45 catches for 1,019 yards, 10 TD, 22.6 yards per catch." Don't know if he will be DB or WR or if he will sign, but a possibility at least.

Perhaps the most interesting deal is the kid from SC, the massive DE.

A massive pass rush can make the rest of your defense look awful good - making a QB make quick decisions leads to turnovers.

Can't wait for the signing day party on Wednesday night. Vigen does a great job of compiling some nice video on all these kids. ;)

Excited because they compiled a bunch of kids with good highschool stats? Will see come a few years from now, one can only hope. I however have a few friends from Tonka that say these two kids (one a verbal and one with interest) are freaks of athletes so I could take their word.

They have done so for at least a few years now. Invitation only.

Anybody else think one of these wide receivers might not redshirt?

I wouldn't mind if they don't redshirt a few of these players, I think some of these players can produce their 1st year....hope I am right

I'd like to see us redshirt Wahlo and Calhoun, and let Schultenover, Williams, Haynes (UCF Transfer), the JUCO, Holloway, and Shamen, get there chances. Unless these guys are just flat our ready, redshirting is the way to go in my opinion. Who knows what will happen with injuries too.

Lakes, it's also for those who RAISE $$$$$ on the annual Teammakers fund drive. We raised just short of $2,100,000.00 this past year. Get yourself on a team and raise some $$$ from all those sports fans you know in the area. Get involved!!
