Is it going to be televised anywhere? It starts in less that an hour, and I can't find it.

edit: Sorry, wrong forum. Should be in 'News About Other Schools'.

Seriously? Oh well, guess I'll just check score updates on here and ESPN. No NFL Network through CableOne and no line of sight for a dish.

Thanks.

Kansas scores on first play from scrimmage after MN kickoff goes out of bounds.

Minnesota bobbles kickoff and returns to 13. First play from scrimmage is a halfback pass to Decker to Kansas 13. They score three plays later and it is 7-7 early.

The Gophers looked like the same team that melted down the last month of the season. Kansas got whatever they wanted. They threw at will and ran at will out of a spread offense. Gopher's defense was absolutely pathetic, and never made a single adjustment the entire game. Quite honestly, 42-21 makes the score sound a lot closer than it was.

Interesting that the Gophers installed a new offensive scheme during the break between the end of the season and this game. They dumped the spread and went to more of a power rushing game. One result was that Weber wasn't able to operate in space.

Decker is a big key to their offense. He looked healthy again and it helped them run the ball with decent success.

The Gophers still needed some gadget plays to be effective. I never had the feling that they were going to win the game, even when they were leading 14-7.

Brewster seemed to be working on his "tough guy" look. It didn't work.

There defense couldn't stop KU offense though?

Not at all. Kansas never really faced a third and long. They averaged about eight yards on first downs, and so facing second and short the playbook was wide open...but they didn't have to rely on gadget plays...Gophers didn't get any pressure on the very average QB Reesing and Dbacks couldn't stay with talented receivers from KU even on the shortest routes...
