Looks like another multi-sport athlete:
"Jacobs played center and power forward as a captain on the Beaver Dam basketball team and participates in track in the shot put and discus."

Another big guy who might can be powerful with a bit of quick and nimble. I like old school names like Hank (I'm always telling my wife our firstborn son has to have an oldschool name that isn't common anymore - she disagrees).

Hats off to coach Bohl and his staff.

I am guessing that "Blizzard" is someone "in the know" on this situation. 1st post is about this.....and says how Hank loved the staff.

Blizzard, feel free to tell us how great this kid is going to be!!!!! Thanks for the info.

Just don't go with a celebrity kids name like, Passion Qbert or Helicopter Rage. I think the star of "My Name is Earl" kid's name is Inspecktor Pilot. WTF? That just screams "fellow classmates, please ridicule me and kick my ass". Also, Hank is a good get. It's coming together for 2009!

I live in Beaver Dam and know Hank. That picture is from his Jr year. Wispreps should pick up the story soon. Hank is the real deal. He has been lifting since 8th grade. His bench is 350 squat 500+. pro agility is 4.8 and his vertical is 31.

Beaved Dam. Home to FB Doug Lloyd who played on the '90 Championship team with Tony Satter, Chris Simdorn, Phil Hanson and Todd Wash. Also got hosed by the Oaklsnd Raiders.

One of many.

Chris Rock said that John McCain's pick of Sarah Pallin as a running mate was so bad, that he thought Al Davis make the pick!:D

I don't think that Lloyd was on the 90 team. (85-88) still.... a great player.

He chose us over Northern Illinois & Southern Illinois. Wonder how serious their interest in him was. I'll take it.

Here is my favorite part of the article

"I chose NDSU because I feel they really wanted me there. I really liked the coaching staff and their system and how the fans in Fargo really support the school's athletics" Hank Jacobs

What is this? I thought we had come to the conclusion that the crowd had little affect on anything. If a recruit can be motivated to come to a school because of the crowd, I am pretty sure that same crowd can motivate that player to elevate his game.
