VCSU is probably in the top 5 teams in NAIA in defense, so this is actually a game that might not hurt us to play against another ND team. I mean that in the fact that these guys play sort of a Southern Illinois type of defense that maybe just wont let NDSU score at will.

they gave up 73 to Dordt... 96 to Northwestern of IA, and 89 to something called "Cardinal Stritch" for an average of 73 points a game all against teams playing at the NAIA level or "lower" ;)

Nice call on the prediction bison101. And even though everyone bashed the decision to play another DAC school, you look in the GDT post, and a couple of you guys were a little worried in the first half. VCSU's defense played as I expected, holding Woody to just 7 in the first half and 18 overall. Mike York can straight up lock-down, and their team defense is solid. Tell you what, the Vikings looked good, give them credit on making us play. Our starters definitely played more than we wanted going into the USC game. It will be interesting to see how we respond going on the road to play arguably the toughest game of the year so far (maybe the Gophers). Hopefully Woody is good to go. Last of all, looks like we might get to see him break the record at home on Monday!!!
