Hawkeyes close out the UMN dome experience with a massive 55-0 drubbing of the Goofs.
Highlights off the top of my head:
1) Green(e?) secures spot as top season rushing record with one (bowl) game left to go.
2) On Gopher kick, coverage man DRILLS Hawkeye return man...while the ball is in the air. Um, that's not legal??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
3) On Hawkeye kick, Gopher return man signals fair catch, then HIS OWN TEAMMATE backs into him, knocks him over and Hawkeyes recover.
4) Shaun Greene apparently doesn't get enough challenges from the Gophers, and runs into his own blocker, completely leveling him. This puts off the pain of another touchdown on the Gophers for a few minutes longer and saves that last remaining safety from a painful and embarrassing spectacle of trying to make an open field tackle of Greene.
Other than that, nothing real spectacular, Hawks just play a good solid game. Both teams came out fired up, only one had the stamina to play more than 1/2 a quarter.
