I think our best chance to get in is to finish 3rd in the conference, behind UNI and SIU. And then to get 3 teams in is what we need to have happen. WIU can not get to 7 D-1 wins, so they are really not an issue.

I know we still have a slim chance but most likely we're done after next week. It's a tough thing to swallow after waiting through 5 years, the last two of which we were a top 5 team. If only......a healthy Tyler R. or #83 not developing the drops and we'd have won at least one more game, probably two. With our schedule, 3 losses would be good enough to get in for sure. With four, we can only hope a miracle happens next week and all the right teams lose.

The key is leaving Liberty out. At the end of they year, they need to be ranked below 16 in the big 3 polls avearge. RIght now they are ranked #22 and #24 in the coaches and sme. They won today so should go up a little but it was against a crap team. WOuld beating Elon increase them? Elon is 8-3 right now.

LIberty has beaten 2 D2 teams and no wins over ranked teams. Only 3 D-1 wins were against teams with winning records. That would hopefully include elon.

I like your optimism gabe. I'm a little less optimistic myself, but I believe we still have a chance, however small that may be. I'm just at the point where I'm looking for a win on Saturday and that's it. No playoffs would not get me down at all. We had a tough September and October with a lot of injuries, and to finish out with 4 straight conference wins and a respectable 3rd in the MVFC would give us a lot of momentum to next year.

I will hate the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils until the day we win a NC. That game against CCSU probably cursed our season with all those injuries.

Our best playoff path is Ill State beating SIU, they would be 7-3 and we would be 7-4. We would be finishing 4-0, and they would be coming off a bad loss We also own the head to head. I'll put our chances at 5%, because I doubt Ill State could pull off the upset.

How did Northern Iowa get an auto-bid last time i checked they lost to SIU who is currently winning the MVFC.... so if anything SIU winning the MVFC helps our chances of getting into the playoffs since we are the only team to beat them in the conference.

Don't hate CC for the Rohl injury, hate the coaching staff for not being able to swallow their pride and rest him against Wyoming. If we lose at Wyoming, no big deal. Problem is, we got a little Gopheritis and played to win the game, NOT to win the MVC and we paid the price with Rohls ankle not recovering for a month. ;)
