How bad of a loss is this? Obviously UND is a DII team so it technically doesn't count against UMKC/the league or towards the RPI. I really don't have a frame of reference... is UND respectable or is this a total flop  ?

:edit:

My bad. Didn't realize this was the first season as D1 for the Sioux.

UND is still considered DII for the purposes of RPI, so you're correct about it not hurting UMKC or the League. As for the quality of the UND MBB program, it's been in shambles for quite a while and merely mediocre before that. Unless 3rd-year head coach Brian Jones has worked miracles in the off-season, this was a pretty bad loss for UMKC.

UND (lots of creampuffs from 2004 on)
2007-08: 15-15
2006-07: 11-17
2005-06: 13-15
2004-05: 20-10(1st year w/o NDSU/SDSU/UNC in NCC)
2003-04: 14-14

I would have never guessed this outcome, but I would bet 9 out of 10 times UMKC wins this game in the regular season

UMKC is bad, but that is the worst lost in their history. PERIOD.

You know what this means. The Bison better thrash UKMC both times this year, or there is going to be some loud squaking this year from up north.

Yes, Jordan May is starting every practice at UND....but when the coaches show up.....he has to leave. Ineligible. Too bad. He has some talent.

If thats true would that not be a violation of the rules. Ineligible player "Practicing until the coaches show up"

Wow, a genuine compliment to UND here on Bisonville.

Watch out, Wyo, you may get scolded for that.

I agree with Wyo, congratulations to UND on the win.

As much as I dont like UND, I do like Brian Jones, he is a good guy from the times I have interacted with him. To me hes a much better guy than say Juno Pintar, so gl to the UND mens bball team, to UMary - I hope you get beat every game :)

I am not a hater.....I just like it when people get a dose of their own medicine. They need to feel the transition pain. ;)

Nope, I simply wish them bad luck and leave it at that. When they or the Vikings for that matter are successful, I am mildly iritated for a while, until they (and the Vikings) do what they do best, and lose again. ;)

I think this is the key difference from the UND-SMSU game:

The Mustangs started 6-foot-11, 265-pounder Nick Dale and 6-foot-8, 215-pounder Ross DeMasi in the post.

UND's starting posts were 6-foot-4, 200-pounder O.J. Harrison and 6-foot-5, 218-pounder Travis Mertens.
