If you are, don't be afraid to contact me. I know the turf pretty well. There's a REALLY cool oceanside motel south of LA that would be about a 45 minute drive up to the arena. It's a ma & pa motel that you'd have to call soon, if not sooner.
It's called the Beachcomber motel in San Clemente. Very basic rooms, nice little kitchenette, queen sized bed, a porch looking right at the ocean, up on a small cliff looking right at the ocean and the pier. Great restaurant & bar on the pier. It's our favorite spot. They have a website. Search Beachcomber, or Beach Comber at San Clemente, Ca. Nice people. Oh yeah...you can have campfires overlooking the ocean...beautiful lawn...up and away from people on the beach.
