I just got hired to be the new sports cartoonist for The Spectrum, and I wanted to give you guys a sneak preview of what will appear in the paper on Friday (hopefully) and later on in a couple weeks or so. I'm kind of self-conscious about my cartoon drawing ability (even though I've been doing it all my life), and I'm always overly-critical of myself, so PLEASE don't be overly critical!!

Well, here they are. More cartoons will follow throughout football and basketball season.

Better than the regular news cartoons. :bow: Plus, you seem to draw inspiration from Bisonville. Your perceptions are much more insightful than the other newspaper guy! :cheers:

Bisonator, those are fantastic! Very, very nice work! I can't remember the last time The Spectrum had a cartoonist. Props to both you and The Spectrum. As a proud Spectrum alum, I think it's great :nod:

As you likely know, make sure to keep a portfolio of your cartoons to show other outlets that may be interested in publishing your cartoons. As an avid fan of political cartoons (see Cagel's Political cartoon index on MSNBC.com) these are just as good -as far as artistic quality - as people who get paid well to do this for a living. Again, keep up the great work!
