I saw they extended the order deadline. I bought two of them.

North Dakota State University fans have a chance to buy a piece of history -- a commemorative frame with a section of the artificial turf that covered Dacotah Field during the NCAA Division II glory years of Bison football along with a vintage black-and-white photo from a game at the historic structure. The deadline for ordering this unique tribute to the stadium has been extended.

Proceeds from the commemorative framed Dacotah Field turf plaques will be used to help offset the cost of the playing surface that will cover the proposed NDSU practice facility adjacent to the Bison Sports Arena.

Cost of the commemorative framed plaque is $100 plus $10 for shipping and handling. The limited edition 18-inch by 9.5-inch plaques with a 5-inch by 7-inch section of turf will include a certificate of authenticity. Bulk orders are available, however, with bulk orders of turf no plaques will be provided.

Order forms will be available at football games against Southern Illinois, Western Illinois State and Indiana State in the Fargodome, and also at GoBison.com.

Order deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, with delivery scheduled to begin Monday, Dec. 15.

For more information, contact NDSU Director of Equipment Operations Brian Gordon at 701-231-7820.

I believe it is from 1970, full crowd... See your Sept. Bison Illustrated for a tiny sample.

The south stands were installed in 1972 and the first astroturf in 1975. So it was at least 1975 or later.

Yep sorry typo there, the pic in the sample is 1975 based on the MR file (DacotahField1975FullCrowdToSW.jpg).

They haven't sold enough yet. Hopefully they will sell some over homecoming.
