As many of you know A LOT of coastal studnets have been arrested lately for drinking. This has led to some changes in student policy and fan policy. Now to drink in any parking lot except the big donor lot where it cost 1200 a space you MUST get a wrist band to verify you are over 21. That is fine but the other issue is you CAN NOT tailgate unless you have prior approval if you are a student.

Well A student was ARRESTED FOR STANDING IN THE STUDENT SECTION SATURDAY AT OUR HOME GAME.

This was on our local news at 6 pm.

Coastal has offically become a embarrestment

I personally have been yelled at in our stands before because i was standing and the old yankees behind me couldnt see during the 3rd down play. I am so sick of these people :(

I heard the police arrested a good booster at SDSU for not moving fast enough with his family toward the stadium prior to the game. I guess it is pretty interesting situation down in Brookings. Maybe they can fill us in?

Last home game we had some PD come over and chat with me about my Impreza for a few minutes, very cool guys.

I talked to a Fargo Police Officer the before the first game and he said they drew straws to win that assignment...He was pretty fired up to be there.

Yeah, I've talked to a few of them and they all have said they really like the 'assignment'.

Probably doesn't hurt to offer them a burger or bratwurst and a soda, and thank them for keeping the west lots from turning into something like Brookings.

I'm a huge car enthusiast, so to talk to these guys was cool. I was 3 sheets to the wind, they were still very professional. Our group thanked them for keeping it a safe environment, they were appreciative.
fyi, I always keep some Dew, bottled water, powerade in the cooler too, I appreciate the guys and if they need a water it's on me. I too hate working weekends.

Some old coot rolled up his program and wacked my wife in the back for standing up and cheering after Wurzbacher's long first quarter catch at the Austin Peay game. I was ready to punch the old fart, but the wife calmed me down. haha.

Wow, didn't realize SDSU University Police and FargoDome Nazi staff were trained by the same people...

Everyone of the Fargo PD I talk to during tailgating are out there having a good time and basically making sure no one gets hurts or is doing anything too stupid. I am pretty sure those guys have full bellies working the lots, as I see many camps offering up their food and water/pop to the Popo. They seem to genuinely enjoy working the lots.

Plus, they probably enjoy the eye-candy just like the rest of us DOB's. Let's be thankful we have this atmosphere

:cheers: My tailgating experiences at NDSU have been nothing short of fantastic. It is a huge part of why I keep flying all the way back to Fargo for NDSU games. The Fargo PD officers that I have visited with have been cordial, friendly and seemed to be having a good time. At no time have I been made to feel that law enforcement at the tailgate has been overbearing. Thanks to NDSU and the City of Fargo for a GREAT tailgate experience at NDSU!!:cheers:

We have always invited security in for food, before and after the game. They have always been nice. Even the time I had a Jamaican Wig on and when I walked up and asked the 2 Cass County deputies if they had any dope. I knew one of them very well, but the other guy said "What did you ask for" The one I knew introduced me and they were both laughing. Oh to have a camera for the look of the other officer!!

You should have pressed assault charges on him. Next time, do it! No room for that kind of behaviour.....

Keep in mind this was a Univeristy PD. I think they are way more likely to power trip than an actual police enforcement. Probably because they know they get less respect even though they are actual police officers...

The police officer was great, the dome security guard was not. When I told him I was a student he was very excited, all over his walky-talky like he won a prize. The only thing the officer said to me was “thank you for being so cooperative tonight” as they were giving me the boot. No one made me sign anything, just 3 different people wrote down all of the information on my id. They said they were sending me something in the mail…Anyone been through this process?

I could have snuck a Sherman Tank in on Saturday, weren’t checking us at all. Everyone that was with us just tossed a couple beers under their sweatshirt and walked in. No problem, until they found me in like row dd or something. The guy must have had eagle eyes.
