No football game this saturday, so let's all jam into the BBF at 7pm to watch the Bison take on the jackrabbits.

Unless some sort of miracle happens it's not gonna be even close. Bison in three...if there was a mercy rule I'd take it. Might make the trip up to see what happens.

Blue - are the Jackwabbits all out of sync w/o Rooney & Pallieo? Do you feel the new HC will be successful in Brookings in the near future?

I don't know how that SDSU coach will be, but USD is going to be an intriguing team in the next few years with Matt Houk. He grew up in the coaching circle with Coach Hinterstocker, and was a big impact in the Milwaukee Sting, which is an elite Club out of WIsconsin and a rich recruiting area for Hinterstocker. He almost mirrors Hinterstocker with passion and energy for the game too.

The fact we lost 4 great seniors plus Rooney and Annie Adams hurts. I'm not sure Palileo leaving is as big of a factor as some thing. But to have a young team with little experience leaves a lot to be desired. The Jacks have to be almost perfect to win. Errors have hurt the team this year. The new coach is running a 6-2 offense. Basically we have 2 setters on the court the whole time. We started to run it at the end of last year, and it might take time to adjust too. Some of the freshmen we have will be good as they develop. Plus, I think Angner might be a bit better than Rooney. Rooney dealt with too many injuries and I think if she gets hurt this year, Palileo spits her out.

Blue & Monico, Thanks for the insight. USD should do well, I know they have gotten some solid recruits for the next year, and should keep improving - they could have gone the UND way for this year and keep scheduling cupcake D2, D3 & NAIA opponents and be 11-1 or whatever the Sioux are right now, but the Coyotes will be better off in the long run.

SDSU, is a young squad, and I'm sure they'll get back to the winning tradition that was established in the past 8 years.

Leaving soon for Fargo, so I'll be there sporting a nice orange shirt. First of several trips to Fargo this year is almost near.

Orange? I thought you'd be in BLUE.

It's the whole media/unbiased deal that forces the orange. Almost all of my blue or yellow shirts are clearly marked with SDSU logos:D.

Was a good match and atmophere. Bison dominated up to the third game, so wasn't rockin' bbf until the 4th really.

Conference champions right there. Great team, no surprise there. Depression didn't hit while I was there, but I was also watching the SFA-Jacks game during the match. It's a good thing for opponents that K.Lo isn't scheduled to return to the front row for a little while. Always love the environment up in the BBF. Good Job Bison.

Very nice attendance at last nights match.
Seemed to me that most everyone had a nice
evening. Most of the Jacks fans looked to be
enjoying themselves and were smiling/visiting
with other fans.

From the article in today's Forum, it sounds like a pep band was there. Was that correct and was this the first time this year? It would be great if volleyball started getting semi-regular pep bands.

Yes, the pep band was there. They have been there for other matches also.

The band did a DEFENSE - OFFENSE cheer a couple of times. Naturally as the ball went back and forth over the net, they had to quickly switch words.

Yeah, that had to be one of the funniest things from the band during a volleyball match.

It should be added that the Cheer Team
was also there.
