New from the forum today.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - University of Northern Iowa officials say two football players who were arrested after a car accident have been suspended indefinitely from the team.

Police say 19-year-old Evan Tecklenburg of Muscatine was driving early Saturday when his vehicle was involved in an accident. He was arrested on charges of first-offense operating while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also in the vehicle was 19-year-old Mitchell Houk of Ottumwa. He was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The UNI roster shows that both men are redshirt freshman offensive lineman for the Panthers, which play in the same conference as North Dakota State University. The teams play in Cedar Falls next month.

Athletic director Troy Dannen says the type of incident the players were involved in will not be tolerated by the school.

The Panthers host No. 12 South Dakota State on Saturday at the UNI-Dome.

Good for UNI taking a stand against that kind of behavior!

Yep, hopefully it nips such behavior in the bud and they don't wind up with as many arrests as their larger, southern neighbor.
