ORU comes to the BBF this saturday at 7pm to open Summit League play. ORU was picked to be the favorite to win the league title, so this will be a big chance for the Bison to make their statement this season.

Oral Bison? Is that your idea of a good time down there in Brookings. :p

Seriously, this should be a great match-up. ORU returns a lot from a solid team last year and probably has a bad taste in their mouth after just missing the Summit League tourney.

Bison should win easily. was not impressed by oral against the jacks. jacks are bad, but ORU looked just as bad.

You can supposedly listen to it on gobison.com but all I've been able to get is the live stats.

NDSU up in the third set 22-17. Jennifer Lopez is a killing machine right now.

Oral Roberts, btw, I wonder if they have any players at all from the North American continent.

I jinxed J Lopez so I'll stop... 23-21 BISON.

Wish they would pan to the scoreboard once in awhile. Hard to keep track of the score and the stats page on GoBison is a little behind, usually.

Apparently dial-up doesn't work for live stats!
It sat, loading & loading, for 20 minutes and still
nothing.
Anyone have dial-up AND get it to work for live stats?????

Slick,
Many people that live in small towns & rural areas of ND
and MN don't have access to hi-speed internet and/or it is
very expensive.
Most of us pay more for Limited hours of dial-up than
metro residents pay for hi-speed.

This is a very solid win for the Bison against the team that brought most of their (*cough*FOREIGN*cough*) starting core back and were picked to win the division this year. The real test for the Bison in the conference might be against IPFW or Oakland, but I'm thinking that this just might be a special year for NDSU in Volleyball.

Oakland? seriously? The Bison will beat them badly. IPFW will be a competitive match. NDSU has a lot of resources, on and off the court, that ensure that they will be atop the conference every year. Other schools dont so their ability to be competitive with the Bison is tough.

I'm not saying that the Bison can't beat either of those teams, but for the most part, the Bison are young, and anything can happen, and Oakland & IPFW have great coaches. Now, that being said, as far as I've seen so far in the conference and with the NDSU squad, I fully expect us to win the conference.

Oaklands coach is only in his 2nd year and I am sure he is capable, but to call him great is a bit premature, plus even if he out performs his resources, he still wont be able to beat the Bison
