So you waited 4 years for your first post ... great first post, I hope it was worth the wait.

Nice find and first post. I am surprised that NDSU's victory of Central Michigan never gets mentioned. It was a 44-14 blowout to a team that made it to a bowl game. Makes me wonder if NDSU beats Wyoming will anyone notice?

The article only focuses on non-BCS teams beating BCS eligible teams...Central Michigan is a non-BCS team, even though they are FBS, so they don't count.

Kinda makes me want to play the Gophers again. I don't like that we're tired with them this century.

Oh yeah, my bad. I hate those BCS terms.

How come Hawaii and Boise St. can get into BCS games and not Central Michigan?

Hawaii and BSU got in a BCS game with At-Large bids...Winning their conference doesn't guarantee a BCS bowl game...Which is the case with CMU.

Yeah, I knew that. No conference title does, it just makes the picture more congested when you got teams like Boise and Hawaii going undefeated, in the top 10 ranking while playing weak competition.

I dunno, Boise proved anything can happen...but the Hawaii game was just a reality check. I dont think the Central Michigan game should've been on that list either...

NDSU also got a mention in ESPN the Mag in the College preview edition. Under the Gophers preview it says:
"At least they don't have to play North Dakota State this year."

One of the bigger upsets of 2006 was the Gophers beating the Bison.

Good post. Thanks!
