I had a friend in from out of town this weekend as he was attending a work function at the dome. He insists that there is new turf down on the floor of the dome. Any truth to this?

Um...No.

Considering that media day was held there last week, we would have heard something reported on TV or in the Forum.

He was in on Saturday and says that he's 100% positive that it's different.

God I wish, with our logos actually painted so you can read it and see them on tv??

He said it was bright green, very much unlike the dull green that we are used to. Said it didn't have the faded FargoDome logo's and what not. I'm on the phone with him right now. He swears it has to be new.

Probably bad Lighting??:hide: although I would LOVE to see the MVFC logos painted on!! Like this oh yeah this is the UNI-DOME.

When was the last time he was there? 1995?

The turf has not been replaced this year.

Id be awfully surprised if this were true. Think there would be a bit more news.

He was a regular up until now, he had to move for work.

I always laugh when I see pics of the Uni-Dome, like a tish bigger Tin Shed, still no end zone seating. Although the banners make me drool a little, can't wait to silence it.

I always think of the Fargo wastewater treatment plant on north Broadway when I see photos of the outside of the UNI Dome. :nod:

I forget, did the endzones get a new coat of paint last year? They're supposed to get repainted every other year(at NDSU expense), right? Everything else is sown in or is otherwise part of the turf, so that has always looked pretty good. I hope NDSU can get approval to add a Valley logo this year or next.

The lines, numbers, and midfield logo are stitched into the turf. The hash marks, endzones, and logos on the 25's are painted.

What is the point of that banner on the left? That they were in the playoffs?

Yeah you can actually see UNI's banners, unlike the Fargo Dome that requires binoculars to see them.

The sad part is we have 8 National Championships and 27 Confernce Championships and you would never know it from sitting inside the dome.

Another cool touch... UNI has their all time home record painted on the visitors door.

Answered my own question:

UNI: 585–369–47 (.608)
NDSU: 586-343-33 (.609)*

That's about as close as you can get it!!!
