Hey guys,

Work takes me to Pierre for a couple of days next week, I was looking for advice on good places to eat and hang out in the evening. My brother told me about a good steakhouse in the west part of town, but he doesn't remember its name.

Thanks in advance!

That town has around 14,000 people (16,000 including its sister town of Fort Pierre across the river), so I would think your options would be pretty limited.

It's also a VERY isolated town. I drove there once. Almost nothing around it for at least 50 miles.

There are actually many eating places in the area. There is a REALLY good place just outside of town. I will see if I can find the name. PL

Yeah, Pierre isn't on my short or long list of places to visit :) But you go where work takes you.

They have a pizza ranch, and that's really all you need. Or at least they did back in 1997.

I have been told La Minestra is very good. Not your run of the mill chain eating establishment.

Personal favorite: St. Charles Restaurant (http://www.stcharlesrestaurant.com/). It actually isn't quite as stuffy as it looks on that website. The Caucus Lounge has good beer and doesn't get too loud.
